Speculation arose with the release of the poster for The Fantastic Four: First Steps that it had been made with AI. People pointed to the same face on two of them women, and how some people seemed to only have four fingers. A rep from Marvel Studios has denied that speculation to Deadline.

Marvel Studios have already shown that they will use AI willingly if it fits with what they want to achieve. The opening sequence to the Disney+ series Secret Invasion was created with AI. A series that featured the Skrulls, shape-shifting aliens who have appeared on Earth. Marvel stated such was the case, that “AI is just one tool among the array of tool sets our artists used.” If such was also the case with the First Steps poster, it seems odd to deny it.

Alongside the poster, the first trailer for the opening film of the MCU Phase 6 landed online. That trailer provided a first look at the team of the Fantastic Four, how they came to get their powers, and a tease of Galactus at the end. Directed by Matt Shakman, and starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn, The Fantastic Four: First Steps will arrive in theatres July 25.
