The September 2023 Nintendo Direct has winded down, and it wrapped up with a pretty decent bang. A remake is coming to the Nintendo Switch: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, one of the most popular installments of the franchise! A specific release date hasn’t been announced yet, though it is currently set for sometime in 2024. They tacked a trailer onto this announcement, which you can check out below.

The trailer for this Paper Mario game boasts rich colors, smooth graphics, and a fun, fresh yet familiar song overlaid. The 3D portions are more detailed than the original installment, Hooktail the Dragon being particularly noteworthy. It even shows TEC-XX, introducing the computer’s efforts to learn what love is. The trailer appears to remain true to the original game while bringing a breath of fresh air into things.
