Robin Wright Has Expressed Interest About Being In James Gunn's 'Wonder Woman' Series In The New DC Universe
James Gunn’s developing DC Universe is taking shape after his announcement several weeks ago regarding the first chapter of films and television programming titled “Gods and Monsters.” Since that announcement, the internet has been flooded with rumors and comments from actors from within the DCEU; the latest is from Robin Wright, who wants to continue portraying the Amazonian general Antiope from Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman films. Wright appeared in 2017’s Wonder Woman, Woman Wonder 1984, and both versions of the Justice League films.
The series will be set on Themyscira centuries before Wonder Woman’s inevitable arrival at the DCU. The actress spoke with Yahoo Entertainment about any potential casting for Gunn’s newly announced Paradise Lost series to debut on HBO Max. She said, “I loved playing an Amazon. I kinda feel like I was the leader of an Amazon tribe in my past life. I haven’t received that call [about Paradise Lost] yet. Maybe, I’m too old!”

Then, Wright clarified if she knew of any early signs of the now-collapsed third Wonder Woman film. She said, “I thought they were finishing with Wonder Woman 1984. But Patty and I both agreed that the Amazon section was such a great part of that film. I was like, ‘Why don’t you write the Amazon movie?’ Young girls want to see that – it’s real female empowerment.”
