Rooster Teeth And DC Studios Team Up For A New 'Justice League' Animated Film With 'RWBY'
In the dozens of direct-to-video films DC has done in the last 15 years, they’ve been done in all sorts of styles, including Lego, anime, and as of Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons they’ve dabbled in CG. There have even been crossovers, whether within DC or outside of the whole of Warner Bros. like Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Coming this spring, fans will get to explore their favorite heroes in the world of Rooster Teeth’s RWBY.
Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part One will find Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Vixen, and Cyborg transported to the world of Remnant and turned into teenagers under mysterious circumstances. They meet Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang (voiced by the reprising Lindsay Jones, Kara Eberle, Arryn Zech, and Barbara Dunkelman respectively) and must team up and discover why the world has been transformed before a powered-up Grimm destroys it all. The film is based on the seven-issue comic series by Marguerite Bennett titled RWBY x Justice League that started in 2021 and ended earlier this year. It is the first film based on the long-running web series created by Monty Oum.
