SAG-AFTRA And The AMPTP Will Continue Conducting Talks Over The Weekend
SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP are continuing to negotiate towards an end to the actors guild strike. In a post on X, they announced on Thursday that they would be working through the end of the week and into the weekend to attempt to find a resolution to the issues that prompted the strike. People are divided about how fast the actor guild strike might be resolved, with some people hopeful that the resolution of the writer guild strike might presage the end of the actor guild strike:
"We've got a great negotiating team," said actor Jeff Rector, whose credits include Star Trek: The Next Generation and American Horror Story among many other films and TV shows over a career spanning more than 40 years. "Hopefully it will be resolved rather quickly now that the writers strike has been resolved.”

Some members of the actor guild such as strike captain Kate Bond, best known for starring in the reboot of MacGyver, argue that their demands are different from the writers Guild strike:
"A lot of people don't understand how different our demands are from the WGA's demands," Bond said.
Bond also expressed her concern that AMPTP would use every union-busting trick they have. AMPTP declined to comment.
