Season Two Of 'Peacemaker' Will Not Release Until At Least July 2025, After 'Superman: Legacy'
James Gunn took to Twitter the other day and confirmed that it would be a few more years until fans get Peacemaker season two. The DC Studios CEO responded to an interview with James Mangold, in which Mangold revealed at Star Wars Celebration that he would be writing and directing a new Star Wars film and the new Swamp Thing film. Following the post, Gunn took to the comments and answered some questions about future DC projects.
Gunn was asked when people will first see projects from Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters of the DCU, to which he responded July 11th, 2025 for Superman Legacy and that Creature Commandos would release before that. When asked about Peacemaker, he simply stated “After Superman.” Since Gunn has been busy with Superman Legacy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it is unlikely fans are getting season two of Peacemaker any time soon.

While Peacemaker may be on pause, Amanda Waller’s show might be coming sooner rather than later. When asked if Waller would be released before Superman Legacy, Gunn responded, “If it’s done in time, yes.” Amanda Waller’s daughter revealed numerous of her mother’s secrets to the public at the end of Peacemaker Season One, so it’s possible the series’ plot could stem from the repercussions. This paired with the cameo of Harcourt and Economos in Shazam Fury of the Gods means we may see more from Peacemaker’s crew before season two.
