'Star Wars' Is Coming To 'Fortnite'
Star Wars is once again coming to Fortnite in a brand-new collaboration event. Some degree of Star Wars elements will be incorporated into the game, though the specific theme has yet to be announced. Past collaboration projects have featured specialized challenges, bundles, and character models to play as. A teaser trailer was released with this announcement; this teaser was short, under a minute in length, and did not reveal much in the way of detail. The trailer shows the Star Wars corporation logo with different Epic Games titles flashing by. This collaboration is expected to drop on May 3, 2024, just before Star Wars Day.
This isn’t the first Star Wars event that Fortnite has hosted. These events bring interesting new characters to fight as, or against, introduce special collectible items, and add new fighting skills/abilities. One of the latest examples is a campaign from last year titled Find the Force, honoring the Prequel Trilogy in its perks. Force training was programmed into the game, special maps were available, and special items could be found. This program began on May 2, 2023, and ended on May 22, lasting for the majority of the month.
