The First Trailer For 'Madame Web' Has Been Released

Sony is gearing up to return to its Spider-Verse/Venom-Verse, with a new movie focusing on Madame Web. Madame Web focuses on the origin story of paramedic Cassandra Webb, played by Dakota Johnson, as she discovers an ability to see the future. Webb later meets up with Julia Carpenter (Sydney Sweeny), Mattie Franklin (Celeste O’Connor), and Anya Corazon (Isabela Merced), who take on the mantles of Spider-Woman, Spider-Girl, and Araña in the comics. The women soon discover that their lives are all connected and decide to team up to save the day.

Rounding out the cast is Tahar Rahim playing the villain Ezekial Sims. The movie gives Sims a move set similar to Spider-Man. His goal is to kill the team of budding Spider-Women because his clairvoyance reveals that he dies at their hands. The film takes place in the mid to late 2000s, setting it up as a spiritual prequel to Sony’s Venom and Morbius movies. Sony’s latest superhero adventure and mystery thriller film releases in theaters on February 14, 2024, just in time for Valentine’s Day. To generate hype for the latest spider-themed action hero, Sony released a three-minute preview trailer for Madame Web. Check it out below.
