Warner Bros And James Gunn Are Getting Closer To Finding The Next Clark Kent And Lois Lane For ‘Superman: Legacy'
The hype continues to grow as DC Studios’ new CEOs, James Gunn and Peter Safran, focus their collective attention on the budding DC universe in casting the new, younger Clark Kent and Lois Lane for the impending release of Superman: Legacy. Now, Deadline is reporting auditions for the two leads in the second round. Fans are eager to find out who will dawn the red cape to defend truth, justice, and the American way. Sources of Gunn and Peter Safran say the next round of auditions will happen around the Father’s Day holiday weekend or early the following week.
Rumors are circulating that Nicholas Hoult, David Corsenset, and Tom Brittney are up for the role of the son of Krypton. Hoult was apparently one of the finalists for Matt Reeve’s The Batman. Emma Mackey of Sex Education and Barbie is in the running along with Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Ms. Maisel), and Phoebe Dynevor (Bridgerton) is rumored to audition as the Daily Planet’s lead reporter and love of Superman, Lois Lane. Samara Weaving from the last installment of the Scream films has been mentioned in the past; however, her name is not being found in the past few weeks.

Naturally, DC Studios does not comment on whether these rumors are true. Many fans are anticipating for Gunn to take to Twitter to semi-mildly advise fans to “chill the hell out, please,” as he is apt to do.
Superman: Legacy flies into theatres on July 11, 2025.
