William Jackson Harper, Best Known As Chidi On 'The Good Place' Will Be Joining The Cast Of 'Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania'
The latest addition to the ever-growing Marvel Cinematic Universe is actor, William Jackson Harper, represented by UTA, AC Management, Jackoway Austen and Jill Fritzo PR. He is best known for his role as an after-life resident of The Good Place (comparable to heaven); Chidi Anagonye on the NBC hit series The Good Place. Deadline reports that he has been cast in the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
The actor himself has confirmed his casting via his Twitter account, his role however is being kept a tightly guarded secret at this time. Marvel’s “mums the word” on this casting has the internet all abuzz with speculation as to who fans can expect to see. Many believe that it could be possible for this casting to be that of Mister Fantastic himself, Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four. Of course, only time will tell who Harper’s mystery role truly will be.
In addition to The Good Place, which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award Nomination; Harper is also known for his roles in Midsommar, Paterson, and Dark Waters as well as the thriller, The Resort on the streaming service Peacock. His experience in fantasy and fantasy comedy makes him uniquely fit to play alongside Paul Rudd, Kathryn Newton, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Michael Douglas as they explore the hidden world of the Quantum Realm and encounter Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled to hit theaters on February 17, 2023.
