A Warner Bros. movie release may see new life. Coyote Vs. Acme was cancelled in 2024 for tax purposes despite testing well with audiences. The movie may make its way to theaters yet, pending a deal with Ketchup Studios. If the deal is accepted, everyone who worked on the movie will be glad to see their work finally released to the public. There is some precedent here as Ketchup Studios previously saved The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie from never being released, so they may be the perfect ones to bring back another cancelled Looney Tunes project.
Coyote Vs. Acme is a live-action/ animation hybrid that focuses on a court case in which Wile E. Coyote sues ACME for the constant failures he’s experienced from their products. The film stars Will Forte, John Cena, and Laura Condor. Forte plays the lawyer that Coyote hires and forms a friendship with while Cena plays the opposition ACME representative. James Gunn, well known for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and a reboot of the DCEU, produced the film. Cena described it as incredible. If Ketchup Studios successfully acquires the film, audiences won’t have to take it at the star’s words as they could see it for themselves.
