During a screening on December 11 for the second season of Marvel’s What If? (starting on December 22), Marvel Studios head Brad Winderbaum revealed the first details about a new upcoming animated series, Eyes Of Wakanda. So far, we know that Eyes Of Wakanda will center around brave Wakandan warriors of the past who retrieve dangerous vibranium artifacts in different locations across the globe. We also know that Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is going to be involved in the series, but it’s not clear if he’ll be directing. Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum are currently set as executive producers, and Danai Gurira will reprise her role as Okoye from the Black Panther movies.

A brand new logo for Marvel Studios Animation was released during the press event as well, highlighting the future of animation in their partnership with Disney+. In addition to Eyes of Wakanda, set to premiere in 2024 on Disney+, the streaming platform is also currently developing Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and X-Men ‘97 in conjunction with Marvel Studios. On the live-action front, Marvel Studios will release two shows in 2024, Echo in January and Agatha in the fall, with Deadpool 3 as its sole feature film to be released in July.
