Guess Who's Back As The Doctor?
David Tennant is back on Doctor Who, but this time, he’s a little different. The Fourteenth Doctor made his debut during the end of his predecessor’s last episode, a shock to many who were expecting Ncuti Gatwa, who is coming later. This year’s Children in Need telethon featured a quick introduction to this new Doctor, as he accidentally wanders into the creation of one of his longtime enemies, the Daleks. A pre-disfigured Davros also makes a cameo appearance, as he leaves his apprentice, played by Mawaan Rizwan, alone with the mutants. We won’t be spoiling anything else, if you want to watch it, you’ll have to see it for yourselves.
The Fourteenth Doctor will be the main star of this year’s specials, which will begin later this month. After that, it’s time for the Fifteenth Doctor, played by Gatwa. With the BBC celebrating its 100th year on the air, and Doctor Who celebrating its 60th, expect some big things from the specials. Many fans are happy to see Tennant back in the role that defined his career, more or less. We are looking forward to what returning showrunner Russel T. Davies has in store for us. So we’ll return to the TARDIS and begin work on our next articles.
