John Krasinski Set To Reprise 'Jack Ryan'
A new Jack Ryan feature film is being developed at Amazon MGM Studios with John Krasinski, who will reprise the famed Tom Clancy from the popular series. Andrew Berstein is set to helm the director’s chair as he did with the series’ second season, and Aaron Rabin is writing the script, both of whom worked on the series during its tenure.
Wendell Pierce is set to return as the fan-favorite James Greer, and Michael Kelly, currently in contract negotiations with the studio, could also return. Regarding the slate of producers, Krasinski is top of the list through his company Sunday night with his team of Allyson Seeger and Andrew Form.
They are joined by other heavyweights such as David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, John Kelly, and Carlton Cuse from Paramount Pictures and Skydance, forming a powerhouse production team that promises a high-quality film.
After four successful seasons on Prime and 1.15 billion streamed minutes, Krasinski’s Jack Ryan has proven to be a hit with audiences. With this track record, there's no doubt that the upcoming film will be a success. Krasinski's previous box office efforts, such as IF, which he wrote, directed, and starred in, only add to the anticipation.
Jack Ryan premiered in 2018 and ran for four seasons on Prime Video.
