Michael Lesslie Brought On To Write MCU's Long-Awaited 'X-Men' Feature
Information regarding the upcoming Marvel Studios X-Men film has been rather light, but the film finally has an update. According to The Hollywood Reporter, talks have begun between the studio and Michael Lesslie to write the script for the movie. Further details surrounding anything being discussed are being kept under wraps. This currently-unnamed film will be the first mainline X-Men movie to hit the big screens since 2019.
Lesslie has a variety of experience in both writing and production. He was a screenplay writer for the 2023 Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Other works include Assassin’s Creed (2016), Macbeth (2015), and the short piece Eleanor (2015). Some of his production work includes Citizen K (2019) and The Pigeon Tunnel (2023); he is pretty experienced in general.
