Warner Bros. Japan Set To Continue 'Batman Ninja' Anime Series
Warner Bros. Japan recently announced that they will be heading up a sequel to 2018’s Batman Ninja. Currently in production, Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League will be directed by Junpei Mizusaki, who is returning from the first film, and Shinji Takagi (Blood: The Last Vampire).
The original Batman Ninja was released first digitally in April 2018 and then debuted in Japanese theaters in June 2018. While the first film debuted in Japanese, the script was later reinterpreted and rewritten for English-language audiences by writers Leo Chu and Eric Garcia for its Toonami release in the fall of 2021. The CG animated flick has since inspired a manga adaptation and a stage play that ran from October 1, 2021 - December 5, 2021, in Tokyo.
