Kit Fisto is one of the many Jedi that benefits from supplemental materials outside the films. The movies treat us to moments of him fighting valiantly on Geonosis and then his unfortunate demise at the hands of Darth Sidious. On the other hand, loads of Jedi have grown in popularity thanks to comic books, video games, and animated television series. Quinlan Vos and Plo Koon notably benefited from these a great deal.

The Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022) opened the door to many more surviving Jedi stories, and Star Wars: Tale of the Jedi (2022) continues the trend of Jedi stories in the current canon. I hope that Kit Fisto, who has many fantastic adventures in Legends, gets a story or two in the future that can join those new canonical tales. In celebration of Jedi who did not get their shine in live-action materials, we will look back at a Jedi Master. Here are 5 interesting facts about Kit Fisto!

However, Nautolans are known to have skin tones in shades including blue, green, purple, yellow, and orange. Additionally, while Fisto’s eyes are black, Nautolans can also have brown and red eyes.

Luke Skywalker called Kit Fisto “one of the finest duelists to ever grace the Jedi Order” in the book Star Wars: The Secrets of the Jedi by Marc Sumerak. Unfortunately, our exposure to his abilities in the current live-action canon is limited. However, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008-2014, 2020) has treated us to numerous examples of his fighting prowess. Notably, alongside then Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano on Mon Cala.

3. His Padawan Was Killed

In an episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars titled “Lair of Grievous,” we see Kit Fisto and his padawan, Nahdar Vebb, investigating the possible hideout of General Grievous. On several occasions, it is conveyed that the Jedi Master and his Padawan had philosophically drifted apart. For example, Vebb challenges Fisto with “Strength prevails. The rules have changed” when conveying his ideas on the practice of aggressive warfare. The Jedi Master replies, “Perhaps you are the one who has changed.” Vebb is ultimately slain at the hands of General Grievous.

2. He Had A Romantic Relationship With Aayla Secura

This has been touched on in several comics that are now Legends; however, it is still an exciting idea to discuss. The concept of relationships in Star Wars canon is vague at best. However, Kit and Aayla’s brief relationship was always portrayed as pure and passionate. I rooted for them when they kissed underwater in my comic books when I was a kid, and I still love the pairing today.

1. He Was Killed By Darth Sidious

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005) saw the creation of the Empire and Darth Sidious’ adoption of fallen Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker as his new apprentice. One of the film’s most pivotal moments was the Sith Lord’s attempted arrest. Unfortunately, the arrest did not pan out well for the Jedi Masters. Darth Sidious killed Jedi Masters Agen Kolar, Saesee Tiin, and Kit Fisto during the event. In addition, Jedi Master Mace Windu’s hand was sliced off, and he was dispatched out of Sidious’ office window. Unfortunately, his fate is unclear in the current canon.
