Hasbro Wraps Up Imperial March With Black Series' Joruus C’baoth Among Others
The Star Wars Legends novel, The Last Command, was written by author Timothy Zahn and it is the concluding novel in his famous original “Thrawn Trilogy” written in the 1990s. The trilogy of novels helped launch the massively successful post-Return of the Jedi expanded universe of novels (now referred to as “Legends”).
The 4-pack collection includes Joruus C’Baoth, a mad clone of a former Jedi Master (the original character is featured in another Zahn novel, Outbound Flight), and Mara Jade, the former “Hand” of Emperor Palpatine-turned-smuggler-turned reluctant ally of Luke Skywalker, who had been tasked by Palpatine with hunting down and killing Luke Skywalker before Palpatine’s untimely death at Endor. The collection also includes Luke Skywalker and Luke’s cloned doppelganger, “Luke” who is ultimately killed by Mara instead of Luke, thus fulfilling Palpatine’s “last command.”
