Kingdom Hearts fans received some disappointing news this week. The Android beta test for the latest mobile game Missing Link has been delayed to Spring 2024. The development team stated that they needed to adjust some issues to make the game compatible with more Android phones. While the delayed beta test may also delay the game itself, it shows that Square Enix is committed to making the game available to everyone. The company also mentioned that those chosen for Beta Test access will be revealed at a later date along with an updated schedule.

Apple phone users had a successful iOS beta test at the end of last year and reported heavy battery drain from the game. Missing Link is about the unwritten era that takes place between Union Cross and Dark Road. The hallmark feature of the new game is its GPS abilities. Players will encounter heartless enemies in the real world. The game even includes a hands-free mode that will play itself and gather AP (ability points) while players enjoy walking around town. The game features a separate mode that allows players to explore the city of Scala Ad Caelum from the comfort of their own homes. Missing Link is set to be released for iOS and Android phones in 2024.
