LEGO Set To Release X-Men X-Mansion With Cerebro Bonus Sets In Time For Holiday Shopping
Lego is set to announce a new X-Men X-Mansion set, including a special bonus gift set for Lego Insiders. The X-Mansion (“The Xavier Institute of Higher Learning”), along with the supplied minifigures, is inspired by the 1990’s animated X-Men animated series and its sequel series X-Men ‘97.
The set includes 3,093 pieces, ten mini-figures, and a buildable Sentinel (mutant hunter) robot. When constructed, the set measures 16 inches wide. The included minifigures are Wolverine (who gets his heavily memed bedroom in the X-Mansion), Jean Grey, Cyclops, Storm, Gambit (featured in the recent Deadpool and Wolverine film), Rogue, Iceman, Bishop, and the leaders of the two opposing X-Men factions, Professor X and Magneto.
The set features Wolverine’s bedroom, medical lab, lobby, classroom, library, and Danger Room training facility. Lego Insiders will receive (while supplies last) a smaller bonus Lego set of “Cerebro,” a device used in the series (and films) that helps Professor X detect mutants. The set includes a custom set of Cerebro and its surroundings and Professor X in his wheelchair.
The X-Mansion set will be released early for Lego Insiders on October 31st at 9 PM PST/November 1st at midnight and for everybody else on November 4th at midnight, just in time for holiday shopping for the X-Men fans in your life. The set will retail for $329.99.
