Sadie Sink, an actress best known for playing Max Mayfield in Stranger Things, may be joining the next Spider-Man film, according to Deadline sources. This film, which will be produced by Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, is set to start production later this year. No one knows what role she might be playing, but there is an unconfirmed rumor that she will be playing Jean Grey of the X-Men. We won’t be giving any spoilers for the Spider-Man films, but let’s just say that the latest one means that anything can happen with regards to Sink’s role in this upcoming film.

The next Spider-Man movie will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with Amy Pascal and Keven Feige producing. Tom Holland will be returning as Peter Parker, and the film will begin production once he is wrapped up with filming Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Sadie Sink is not yet confirmed for the new movie, but if she is in, she’ll be coming off the final season of Stranger Things, the Searchlight musical O’Dessa, and the Broadway play John Proctor Is the Villain. True believers will have to wait and see just what comes next with our Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and who’s going to be appearing with him.
