Millennium Tower

One of the most important buildings in the Yakuza/Like A Dragon series is the Millennium Tower. It’s a massive skyscraper in Kamurocho where many boss fights occur. Most of the major boss fights from all 8 of the games have occurred in this location. It’s a building easily recognized by fans of the series, but unfortunately, it's not real until now.

Recently, a fan found that the Millennium Tower was listed as an official location on Google Maps. The image is of the famous rooftop, which could easily be mistaken for a genuine photo of Tokyo. It's unclear how long it's been listed as a location on Google Maps.

Fans, of course, decided to have some fun and leave some reviews of the location. "A fun spot to go with your kyodai" and "got shot in the leg and someone dumped a bunch of cash out of a helicopter", referencing a scene from the series.

Kamurocho, which is based on Tokyo's entertainment called Kabukicho, is an excellent recreation, and fans can use the in-game map to travel around the real city. Since it is such a great recreation, it makes sense that Google Maps didn't flag the location. The next question is how long will it remain on Google Maps. Let's hope Google has some sense of humor and decides not to remove the iconic but fictional location.
